Greed, Corruption and Sleaze

How gambling and Federal Indian policy are changing our elections,
our legislators and the Indians it was supposed to help.

Indian gambling (euphemistically referred to as gaming)
has become a $20 billion a year business, nearly double
Nevada’s take. It has attracted and corrupted everyone from
our legislators to the mob, and even garnered support, under
the guise of “social justice,” from unsuspecting religious
leaders, not to mention the tribal members whom it was supposed
to benefit. Everyone knows “Money is the Mother’s
milk of politics,” but this much money has become more
like a crack addiction for our political system, and we seem
reluctant to change the Federal Indian Policy that created it.
